TAMI McCLURE

Tami McClure was always crazy about horses. When she was about six, her grandfather purchased a pony. A couple of years later her father, Rebern McClure, bought an unregistered quarter horse named Adolf.

Adolf & Tami in Eh-Cappas Adolf and Tami became a great team. Tami rode Adolf in the Eh-Capa Bareback Riders for several years and served as their queen. The Eh-Capas are a riding group that rides bareback, with no bridles, and dresses in honor of the American Indian. Tami went on to become queen of the Snake River Stampede while representing the Eh-Capa Riders.

She also showed Adolf in open shows winning in reining, stock horse, western pleasure & more, and competed in rodeos winning consistently in Pole Bending & Barrel Racing. Soon after that the family purchased a registered Quarter Horse mare, Miss Intuition, off of the racetrack.

Miss Intuition She was also successful in the rodeo arena and the show pen. Miss Intuition earned 209 AQHA points in 12 open and youth events. She earned numerous show All Arounds, was IQHBA Youth and Open All Around for several years and won 5 saddles. She could win a barrel racing class and go right back in and win a trail class.

Tami still specializes in training All Around Horses and also teaches her students to be All Around Horsemen. She has trained multiple High Point and All Around winners in AQHA, APHA, and ApHC - both the horses and their youth and amateur riders. She has trained both horses and riders to multiple Top Five and Top Ten finishes at the National and World Show level, including World and National Championships.

Dana Kolstad & Fancy After Five Trail is one of Tami's specialties. She trained Dana Kolstad and Fancy After Five, who won Novice Amateur Trail at the 2002 APHA World Championship Show. She trained and showed Sirplus Cash, ApHC National Champion Jr. Trail and Federal Express, 1999 ApHC Reserve World Champion Sr. Trail.

Tami is a longtime member of the AQHA and AQHA Professional Horsemen. She is also a member of APHA and ApHC and has held memberships and been active in many regional horse clubs. She graduated from Meridian High School as Valedictorian and graduated from Boise State University with highest honors on the Deans List.

Tami's training partner of many years, Randy Stover, has been invaluable with his expertise and experience. Randy trained racehorses for many years and started colts for several years at Rainier Stables, one of the larger Thoroughbred Farms in Washington. Randy helps manage the stable, especially when Tami's on the road showing, and works wonders with the young horses.
